The Transfer Deadline Day is finally upon us. Some teams were able to strengthen their squads yesterday and some were not. For the latter, there is only one more day to add players before the January transfer window opens. Let s take a took at the latest rumours and speculation.
Manchester City
In a shock move, Manchester City are reportedly set to sign former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves. Hargreaves reportedly had a medical on Tuesday. This is a rather peculiar signing, especially because City are already loaded with a good number of midfield players. But then again, Hargreaves may just be an upgrade from Gareth Barry. Is he not?
Stoke City
According to Sky Sports, Stoke City have agreed to terms…
After a few ho-hum games on primetime, Monday Night Football in Week 13 features a fantastic matchup between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.
Oddsmakers are expecting a close game between these AFC East rivals that are ranked fourth and sixth respectively in the latest Covers NFL Power Rankings. NFL betting lines opened with the Bills installed as 3-point home favorites before shortening to -2.5.
Here are our best free Patriots vs. Bills NFL picks and predictions for MNF action on December 6.

The New Orleans Saints try to stop the bleeding of a five-game losing skid when they head to East Rutherford to face the New York Jets in Week 14.
New Orleans, which hasn’t won since Halloween, is coming off a mini bye after a loss to Dallas at home last Thursday. The Saints aren’t certain of their quarterback situation for Week 14, either, with Taysom Hill injuring his finger in his first start last week, which could have Trevor Siemian back under center Sunday.
Check out our free NFL betting picks and predictions for Saints at Jets on December 12.

For the second straight week, the Chicago Bears will be in primetime. After suffering a 12-7 defeat at Soldier Field in a forgettable Thursday night affair in Week 6, the Monsters of the Midway will invade Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots to end Week 7.
Bears quarterback Justin Fields has not exactly thrown his hat in the ring for NFL MVP this year, but that doesn’t mean his NFL player prop markets aren’t offering solid wagering opportunities. Here are our three favorite Justin Fields props for Monday, October 24.

The Philadelphia Eagles don’t have to travel far down I-95 for their Week 6 non-conference clash with the New York Jets.
While this will be Philadelphia’s second straight road game and third away tilt in four outings, all packed inside a 20-day window, oddsmakers are expecting another convincing win for the Eagles.
New York is coming off an emotionally charged win at Denver last weekend (avenging OC Nathaniel Hackett), which could leave the Jets flat in the Week 6 NFL odds. Gang Green, specifically QB Zach Wilson and the offense, has improved the past two showings, coming through for bettors against the spread.
I dissect the NFL odds and give my best NFL picks and predictions for Eagles at Jets on October 15.
Eagles vs Jets…
How fast the tide turns in the NFL.
Just last season, we were wondering if Dak Prescott’s best days were behind him after throwing 15 interceptions in just 12 games to tie for the worst total in the league.
This year, he’s a favorite in the NFL MVP odds race heading into NFL Week 14.
How he does in a mega matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football — where they are 3.5-point favorites in the NFL odds — should go a long way in determining that.
I have other SNF betting interests though, other than the race for the top seed in the NFC. Check my spotlight on Dak Prescott odds and NFL picks.

It’s a fresh start this year for the Tennessee Titans, with a new-look coaching staff and a revamped roster, and they get their first preseason test as they host the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.
First-time head coach Brian Callahan is expected to turn the Tennessee starters loose for chunks of the preseason schedule with the need to mesh so many arrivals on both sides of the ball. But don’t look for a similar approach from the visitors, who take the field for the first time since their Super Bowl heartbreak.
My 49ers vs. Titans predictions and NFL picks delve into what we can expect in this August 10 matchup.

Simone Souza stood outside Flamengo’s training ground, hoping to be let in. She just wanted to go into the car park, light a candle and say a prayer. A year before, on the night of 8 February 2019, her 15-year-old nephew Jorge Eduardo and nine of his friends were burned to death in that very spot when a fire engulfed the makeshift dormitories the club had used to house their youth team.
On the day of the anniversary, the Flamengo players and coaching staff paid their own tribute to the boys at the training ground. Simone merely wished to do the same. But her request was denied. Security barred her and the relatives of another victim, forcing them to kneel in prayer at the side of the road. This stunningly insensitive decision – “humili…
Patriots QB Tom Brady was asked for his thoughts on former teammate Wes Welker, who's about to start serving a four-game suspension for amphetamine use. (One report claimed Welker took adulterated molly at the Kentucky Derby; Welker has denied it.) "I don't have a lot of thoughts or comments on that. That's Wes' situation, and their team. Obviously, I've got plenty to worry about with this week and this team. As a friend, you always hope the best. But this is not friend time, it's opponent time, and my focus is on the Dolphins." Brady, who was at the Kentucky Derby when Welker supposedly rolled, was asked if he saw Welker take anything that day. That drew a laugh and a no-comment. [ Boston Herald] …
These sides will be hoping to kick on after challenging for Champions League qualification last season. They almost upset the established order – Leicester only missed out on the final day – and both have made winning starts to the new campaign. West Ham mounted a strong comeback at Newcastle after a poor first half and Leicester, who hope to have James Maddison available, beat Wolves thanks to a goal from the evergreen Jamie Vardy. It should be a tight game. Jacob Steinberg
